The circuit begins at Amboseli National Park, followed by the Great Rift Valley, onto a Tree Hotel of your choice, an exploration of rugged and remote Samburu, before searching the rolling plains for the teeming wildlife of the Masai Mara, one of Kenya’s most spectacular vistas.
Day 1: Nairobi – Amboseli National Park
Depart early morning for Amboseli, located at the foothills of the magnificent Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain. You’ll arrive at your lodge in time for lunch and a late afternoon game drive chasing the fiery African sunset, before enjoying a hearty dinner and a good night’s sleep.
Day 2: Amboseli National Park
Spend the day out in Amboseli’s endless grasslands, amid vast herds of elephants and other game. Feel the thrill of exploring new vistas around each bend in the track, from dry fossil lake beds to verdant swamp, all the while reveling in the picture-perfect view of Mt. Kilimanjaro’s snow-capped peaks.
Optional Activities: Cultural visits, guided walks (in certain locations), night safari (in certain locations), or bird watching safari.
Day 3: Amboseli National Park – Great Rift Valley
After breakfast, drive to Nairobi and stop for a mouth-watering lunch at the famous Carnivore Restaurant. Continue west, down the lush green escarpment into the huge expanse of the Great Rift Valley. Carry onto your hotel overlooking one of the Rift’s stunning eight lakes for dinner and a peaceful night’s stay.
Optional Activities: Boat trips, bird and nature walks, and a visit to Crescent Island.
Day 4 – Great Rift Valley – Tree Hotel
An early morning start allows you to explore the picturesque, steep-forested ravines and mysterious moorland of the Aberdares. Enjoy lunch at your base hotel before being transferred to a Tree Hotel of your choice. Unwind on the rooftop terrace with stunning views of wildlife frolicking at the waterhole. Enjoy an overnight stay.
Day 5: Tree Hotel – Samburu Game Reserve
Wake early for breakfast before driving north, across the equator, and into the remote and rugged terrain of Samburu, arriving at your lodge in time for lunch and a thrilling late afternoon game drive. Unwind from your adventures with a sundowner cocktail and dinner, falling asleep to the soft sounds of the wild.
Day 6: Samburu Game Reserve
Early mornings in Samburu are serene and as the sun rises, it gives way to a stunning, yet fiery landscape inhabited by Kenya’s most rare wildlife including the Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy’s Zebra and Beisa Oryx.
After lunch and some leisure time, carve your way along the Ewaso Nyiro River, the lifeline of this national park that is an astounding mixture of dry desert, acacia forests, and infinite savannahs. This will be followed by dinner on the terrace and another overnight stay.

Day 7: Samburu Game Reserve – Masai Mara Game Reserve
After breakfast, transfer to Samburu airstrip for the flight departing to the Masai Mara. Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to your lodge for lunch and an afternoon game drive. Get lost in the vast plains of the Mara before being beckoned back to your lodge with the lure of a three-course dinner and good night’s rest.
Day 8: Masai Mara Game Reserve
Feel the true heartbeat of Africa as the roars of lions and drumming of hooves reverberate through the plains of the Masai Mara. Drive along the banks of rivers teeming with crocodile and hippo, and disappear into wild grasslands that abound with predators and plain game.
Return to your lodge at sunset and reflect on the day’s exploits as you enjoy a drink at the bar with other adventurers, followed by dinner and a well-deserved night’s rest.

Day 9: Masai Mara Game Reserve – Nairobi
Wake with the sunrise for one last early morning game drive. Following breakfast at your lodge, you’ll fly back to Nairobi, arriving into the city at approximately midday.
