Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1

   Day 1: Day 1

   Arrival – Windhoek

   Upon arrival at Hosea Kutako International Airport, you will be meet by you host and guide outside the customs hall at the pick-up point and will assist you with your luggage. Tour briefing and head to your hotel for check in. Late afternoon you will embark on a township tour (local lunch included).

   Dinner at your hotel (own account). +/- 47.9 km (46 minutes’ drive).

   Windhoek

   Windhoek is Namibia’s capital, home to an international airport and a plethora of restaurants, shops, entertainment venues, and accommodation options. The city is clean, safe and well-organised, with a colonial legacy that is reflected in its many German eateries and shops, and the widespread use of the German language. Windhoek has an interesting mix of historical architecture and modern buildings, many of which are worth a look, including the Alte Feste (Old Fort), the 1896 Christuskirche (Christ Church), and the more contemporary Supreme Court.

   Swakopmund

   After breakfast, pick up for your shuttle to Swakopmund. Check in at your hotel in Swakopmund. Late afternoon head to Desert Explorers for your 30 minutes Camel ride and 45 Minutes Quad biking (included). Evening at leisure. Dinner at your hotel (own account). +/- 373.2 km (3 Hours 55 minutes’ drive)

   Swakopmund

   Set along Namibia’s spectacularly scenic coast, the seaside town of Swakopmund is known for its wide-open avenues, colonial architecture, and its surrounding otherworldly desert terrain. Founded in 1892 as the main harbour for German South-West Africa, Swakopmund is often described as being more German than Germany. Now a seaside resort town, Swakopmund is the capital of the Skeleton Coast tourism area and has plenty to keep visitors happy. The quirky mix of German and Namibian influences, adventure options, laid-back atmosphere and cool sea breeze make it a very popular Namibian destination. Visitors can look forward to a number of exciting activities including: quad biking, horse riding, paragliding, fishing, sightseeing and fascinating desert tours.

   Accommodation includes Bed & Breakfast, 30 minutes Camel ride & 45 Minutes Quad biking.

   Enclosed by the ever-changing restless movement of the dunes of the Namibian desert on the east and the pounding waves and beaches of the Atlantic Ocean to the west, lies the historic town of Swakopmund, gateway to the Skeleton Coast. The Swakopmund Hotel and Entertainment Centre has been designed to compliment the architecture of the historic (1902) station building which today forms part of the hotels’ public areas. The resort offers the perfect balance between charming, old world tradition with the thrill and excitement of modern day entertainment, be it the Casino and Entertainment centre, dune boarding, quad biking, golf at the nearby desert course, the dolphins and the flamingos of Walvis or a romantic banquet in the desert. For the more sedate a spa treatment or relaxing at the pool offer the escape often promised but so rarely achieved.

3. Day3

   Day 3: Day 3

   Swakopmund

   After breakfast, at 07H30 for your transfer to Walvis Bay. Boat cruise in the morning and 4×4 Sandwich Harbour tour – you will see the flamingos, salt mine, pink lake and the area where the ocean meets the desert, Champagne, local beers, ciders, water and soft drinks + finger food included). Evening is spent at leisure. Dinner at The Tug Restaurant (dinner on own account). +/- 38 km (40 minutes’ drive).

   Overnight: Swakopmund Hotel & Entertainment Centre

   Accommodation includes breakfast, lunch, Boat Cruise & half day 4×4 Sandwich Harbour Tour.

4. Day4

   Day 4: Day 4

   Swakopmund

   Day purely spent at leisure, head to the mall or spent time at the beach. Dinner, we recommend at Ocean Celler Restaurant (lunch & dinner on own account).

   Overnight: Swakopmund Hotel & Entertainment Centre

   Accommodation includes bed and breakfast basis.

5. Day5

   Day 5: Day 5

   Departure

   Today deserves an early start, at 06.00 a.m pick up for your shuttle to Hosea Kutako International Airport for your flight back home. Check in and say goodbye to your driver. Have a safe flight back home. +/- 404.2 km (4 Hours 24 minutes’ drive)
