What travellers say

Word for word from Tripadvisor

Trip of a lifetime

Our Tanzania safari and Zanzibar vacation with Wild Pride Safaris was truly the trip of a lifetime and exceeded every expectation we had. Our travel advisor Lilian was the best of the best. From the moment we arrived in Tanzania until the end of our trip, everything was incredibly well organized, seamless, and thoughtfully planned. Our itinerary took us through Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater, and the Serengeti before finishing with several relaxing days in Zanzibar, and it was the perfect combination of adventure and relaxation. The absolute highlight of our safari was our guide, Andrew. We truly cannot say enough wonderful things about him. Andrew was absolutely AMAZING and played such a huge part in making this trip as special as it was. He was extremely knowledgeable about the animals, the parks, the landscape, and Tanzania in general, and we learned so much from him throughout our time together. He seemed to know exactly where to go and what to look for, and his experience was obvious from the very beginning. More than that, Andrew was genuinely such a pleasure to spend our days with. When you are on safari, you spend a lot of time with your guide, and we could not have asked for a better person to experience Tanzania with. He was patient, kind, professional, fun, and always made sure we were comfortable and having the best experience possible. By the end of the safari, it felt like we were saying goodbye to a friend. If you book with Wild Pride Safaris, ask for Andrew! He made an already incredible trip completely unforgettable. The wildlife viewing was beyond anything we could have imagined. We saw the big five, along with hundreds of animals every single day. We saw multiple leopards, rhinos, lions, elephants, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, cheetahs, hippos, wildebeest, hyenas, and so much more. We were also lucky enough to see babies and cubs, which made the experience even more special. There were days when it felt like every few minutes Andrew was pointing out another incredible animal or getting us into the perfect position to watch something happen. Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti were especially unforgettable. The itinerary gave us a full crater experience before continuing into the Serengeti, followed by several days of game drives there, which gave us so much time to experience the wildlife rather than feeling rushed from place to place. Every game drive was different, and somehow each one seemed to top the last. Seeing these animals in the wild and being able to sit quietly and watch them in their natural environment is something we will never forget. The accommodations were also incredible throughout the entire trip. We stayed at Kahawa House, Lake Burunge Baobab Tented Lodge, Kitela Lodge, and Kubu Kubu Tented Lodge during the safari portion before traveling to Zanzibar. Every property was beautiful, extremely clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff everywhere we stayed were welcoming and attentive, and the service and amenities were fantastic. We especially loved the experience of staying in the tented lodges—it gave us the feeling of truly being immersed in the safari while still having all of the comforts and amenities of a luxury vacation. After the safari, ending the trip in Zanzibar was perfect. We stayed at Diamonds Mapenzi Beach and then Lux Marijani Zanzibar, giving us several days to relax on the beach after all of our safari adventures. What impressed us most about Wild Pride Safaris was how smoothly everything came together. There are so many moving pieces involved in a trip like this—different parks, lodges, long drives, game drives, flights and transfers—but we never felt like we had to worry about anything. We were able to simply enjoy Tanzania and the experience in front of us. This was easily one of the best trips we have ever taken. Between seeing the Big Five, multiple leopards and rhinos, babies and cubs, hundreds of animals every day, the incredible accommodations, the beautiful scenery, and especially having Andrew as our guide, we could not have asked for a better experience. We would 100% recommend Wild Pride Safaris to anyone considering a safari in Tanzania, and we would absolutely travel with them again. If we are lucky enough to return to Tanzania someday, there is no question that we would choose Wild Pride Safaris again—and we would absolutely request Andrew as our guide.

Family holiday on Safari followed by beach time in Zanzibar

Lilian from Wild Pride Safari was just amazing from start to finish with arrangements for this once in a lifetime experience. We were collected from Killi airport by Abdi who was our tour guide and driver for our 6 days safari in Tanzania. We saw the big 5 in Tarangire national park, Norongoro crater and Serengeti park. He was so friendly and helpful and we learned so much from him. The experience of being so close to the beautiful animals and birds of Africa will stay with us always .We were warmly welcomed by all the staff at the various lodges and tented locations. The food and comfort of the rooms were all great. At night we could hear lions and hyenas chatting and the wilder beast wandered around close to our lodges. The sunrise and sunsets were beautiful at lunchtime and for an evening beer. Abdi got us the the airport in Serengeti and we flew to Zanzibar where we stayed at the Magic Boutique hotel. This was a little piece of heaven, we had stunning views of the white sandy beaches and aqua marine water. The staff here were so helpful and attentive. They even put on 2 yoga classes for us with the amazing Farah. During relaxation, you could hear the sound of the ocean lapping. Our last 2 days were spent in Stonetown which was such a cultural eye opener, I would wholeheartedly recommend Lilian and her team in Wild Pride Safari. All you need to do now is contact wild Pride and start planning your own family holiday

Wonderful Trip from a Great Tanzanian Operator

Thank you Wild Pride! We had an amazing safari. Lilian handled all arrangements with great care. She is very friendly and easy to reach. We felt comfortable with her very early in the planning stage. The accomodations and travel plans Lilian arranged for us not only took that pressure off us but boy did she impress. She was thoughtful throughout every stage. Our guide, Adama, was equally amazing. He is clearly very passionate about the land and wildlife. He taught us so much about the land, culture, history, plants, and animals. We were very fortunate to see the big five. All the while Adama ensured that we were comfortable and safe. He clearly also ensured that the wildlife and environment were protected which we greatly appreciated. He is as kind as he is knowledgeable. Asante Wild Pride Safaris for a memorable experience.

Namibia, Uganda & Zanzibar

We had a wonderful experience with WildPride Safaris. The trip was memorable and thoughtfully planned, and when a few challenges arose with contracted providers, the WildPride team stepped in quickly and helped navigate everything smoothly. Special thanks to Andrew in Namibia and Dan in Uganda for their professionalism, deep knowledge, and leadership throughout the journey. Lilian and Sylvia were incredibly helpful and responsive, ensuring issues were addressed and the overall experience remained positive and enjoyable. A great safari experience overall, and I would absolutely recommend WildPride Safaris.

Blown away by how many animals we got to see upclose

Unforgettable experience with Wild Pride Safaris! Elisante and Lillian made it seamless and truly special. Our driver, "Eli" was always prompt, explained what to expect and spotted so many animals that we would have missed if not for him. He was the best driver anyone could ever find and made us comfortable the entire time. Thank you! Lillian was very responsive and so helpful with both pre and post trip information. They made our once in a lifetime experience memorable.

Everything we wanted and expected

From the very beginning, Lilian was super responsive, thoughtful, and clear regarding different itinerary options. She offered great insights and suggestions without being "pushy" and helped us quickly determine the tour that made the most sense for us. All of the communications were professional, timely, and incredibly clear. We were frankly "blown away" with the extremely high quality of all of the email responses from Lilian. She was always positive, encouraging, and eager to help. Once we arrived in Arusha, the tour was everything promised. We were met by our driver/guide (Elisante) who was similarly professional, courteous, and eager to help. Once again, we were incredibly pleased and appreciative of everything Elisante did to help us enjoy our safari experience. First, we were suitably pleased with his excellent driving - careful, diligent, good pace, and always alert - especially in comparison to some of the driving we witnessed from others. Second, he had an incredible eye for spotting wildlife - almost as if he knew what was coming. Third, he was extremely knowledgeable about the area, roads, and where to find the wildlife - provided great insights and responses to the many questions we posed to him. We saw everything we wanted - had some incredible interactions and got some amazing photos. Last, but not least, his positive and pleasant disposition was refreshing - he was always smiling and helpful. Overall, we had a phenomenal experience and would highly recommend Wild Pride Safaris based on our experience. First class!

Incredible tour operator - thank you so much!

WildPride organised the most incredible three weeks for our honeymoon and we couldn’t have had a better service! From our initial contact with Lilian who tailored our trip from day one, making lots of little tweaks for us to ensure it was exactly what we wanted to all of the amazing people on the way… Danny, Eduardo, Peter our safari driver, Good luck and anyone we haven’t mentioned… everyone was such an incredible part of the trip! Booking a safari is a lot to try and organise and we wouldn’t have been able to do it and have such a perfect time if it wasn’t for Wild Pride. Knowledge and recommendations were second to none and made it a seamless time in Africa! Also the little gifts and personalised tyre covers made it such a special memory. Thanks again to you all, we couldn’t recommend you enough!

Amazing Wild Pride Safari and beach holiday

Amazing Safari and beach family holiday with Wild Pride. Our guide Andrew was fantastic and everything was perfectly arranged. We couldn’t have asked for better.

Loveliest safari

Thank you for an absolutely amazing and thorough experience across the national parks. Hussein's calm demeanor, safe and careful driving, extensive knowledge of the parks and animals within it made the experience relaxing, interesting, fun and informative. The next clients will be lucky to have him as their guide.

Absolutely amazing schedule and connection with the bush

It was absolutely amazing the schedule was fantastic not rushed and being able to experience the true feeling of nature. The places where we stayed were fantastic as they were connected with the bush as people call it as we were in tent lodges which the animals come close but also a large sense of luxury as they cared about everything and very comfortable and at the last place we stayed as they decide was the best of them all as we could see the sunset and sunrise which was beautiful.
