Introduction

To begin your adventure, enjoy a guided bicycle tour of Entebbe, a city nestled on the shores of Lake Victoria and home to Uganda’s international airport. You’ll then travel to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest park, located in the northwestern part of the country. The park boasts an impressive array of wildlife, with over 451 bird species and 76 animal species. The highlight of the tour is witnessing the majestic Murchison Falls, where the river surges through a narrow gorge, creating the world’s most potent waterfalls. You will Cruise along the world’s second-longest river, encountering giraffes, buffaloes, elephants, Nile crocodiles, hippos, and a variety of aquatic birds.
Next, continue your journey to Kibale Forest National Park, known as Uganda’s Primate Capital. The Park is home to the country’s largest population of chimpanzees and 13 other primate species. This park is also a haven for bird enthusiasts, featuring six species endemic to the Albertine Rift region. Explore Fort Portal city for a cultural rendezvous at the Royal Palace, marvel at the magical caves named Amabere ga nyina mwiru, and admire the beauty of the crater lakes in this area.
You will then discover the wildlife of Queen Elizabeth National Park through game viewing in the Kasenyi Plains and during a scenic boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel. The park’s diverse ecosystems, from sprawling savannahs to shady forests and lush wetlands, provide ideal habitats for classic game, forest primates, and a variety of birds. Seek out the iconic Tree Climbing Lions in Ishasha and thereafter Immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of empowerment at Ride 4 a Woman, where every skill learned becomes a stepping stone towards self-sufficiency and community support. Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up from Entebbe Airport
Upon arrival at the airport, a Kange Safaris representative will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel for check-in. After settling in, embark on a guided bicycle tour to experience the local atmosphere. Ride through villages and settlements, visit the local Market, chat with friendly locals, known for their open and friendly nature and take in the sights and sounds of Entebbe town. You’ll also get to ride along Lake Victoria and visit the botanical gardens, where you can briefly immerse yourself in nature and enjoy the beautiful birdsongs. As part of the Tour, you’ll also visit Kigungu Catholic church, a historical site where the first catholic missionaries; Brother Amans and Father Mon Maple Lourdel landed in Uganda to establish the first Catholic Mission.
Afterwards all this adventure, You will return to your accommodation in Entebbe.

Day 2: Drive to Murchison Falls National Park
Starting with an early breakfast, the plan is to head to the park with our driver guide. One of the highlights of the day will be visiting the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, where you can go on a guided walk to see the rhinos. With 41 Southern white Rhinos, it’s a unique opportunity to learn about their repopulation efforts. You may also spot other wildlife species such as Uganda kobs, oribis, bushbucks, and waterbucks among others and several other bird species.
After the Sanctuary, you will have lunch before continuing the journey to Murchison Falls National Park. Once you arrive, you can relax at your lodge and enjoy an overnight stay.

Day 3: Game Drive and Boat Cruise in Murchison Falls
After an early morning breakfast, it’s time to head to the Savannah plains. As you drive through the area, you will see giraffes, warthogs, kobs, bushbucks, antelopes, buffaloes, and waterbucks grazing freely. However, make sure to keep an eye out for the Lions, leopards, hyenas, oribis and a variety of savannah woodland birds that also call this place home.
After your exciting game drive, You will go to visit the top of the Falls. Standing at the viewpoint, you will see, hear and feel the Nile thunder through a 6m wide gorge forming the thunderous Falls.
Next, you will have your lunch, before heading out for a boat cruise on the Nile. During the cruise, you will pass by a wealth of riverside wildlife, including resident hippos and crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, and different species of birds.
The boat will take you close to the bottom of Murchison Falls, where you can marvel at the breathtaking waterfall.
From the boat cruise, you will return to the lodge for some downtime and relaxation before your dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Drive from Murchison Falls to Kibale National Park
Experience the beauty of Uganda’s countryside on your journey to Kibale National Park. As you travel through sprawling hills, farms, villages, small towns, and tea estates, you’ll be treated to breathtaking views at every turn. Your journey will start with an early breakfast at the lodge, followed by a scenic drive and a stop for lunch en route.
Once you arrive at your lodge, you’ll have the opportunity to relax and unwind from the long journey. Take some time to enjoy the tranquil surroundings and soak up the natural beauty of the area.

Day 5: Chimp tracking in the Primate Capital of the World and a community walk at the Bigodi Sanctuary.
Begin your day early with a warm breakfast and head to the park headquarters. Here where you will receive a briefing about the chimpanzees you will be tracking. The briefing will include the dos and don’ts of how to behave around them. Then, you will start your hike in the forest in the company of experienced guides.
This activity will take between 1-4 hours depending on where the chimpanzees are at the time. Once you find them, you will spend 1 hour observing their life and behaviour.
In the afternoon, after your lunch, you will take a walk to the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary. This Sanctuary is a great example of a community-based approach to natural resources management that can be of good economic benefit to the local community. Here, you will also have the opportunity to see a wide range of flora and fauna. View a variety of butterflies, birds and other insects.
Later in the evening, you will return to your lodge for leisure, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Visit Amabere ga nyina Mwiru, the explosion crater lakes and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
After an early breakfast, you will first visit the Amabere ga nyina mwiru, where a local guide will explain to you the ancient version behind their existence. You will trail down the caves to see the stunning stalactites and stalagmites with the milky substances. This is a sacred place for the locals who come here for cleansing and to perform other rituals. You will also visit the scenic waterfalls adjacent to this location.
Continue to the crater lakes, including Nyinambuga Crater Lake, which is famous for being engraved on the twenty thousand Uganda shillings note (20,000).
You will have Lunch in fortportal Town and then visit the Tooro Kingdom Palace a traditional monarchy of the Batooro People of Uganda. This Kingdom became popular for having produced the youngest king in the world in 1995. You will listen to the folktales and the history of one of the still-existing Kingdoms in Uganda.
After this great immersion into culture, history and knowledge, you will depart for a scenic drive to Uganda’s most popular park, Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Day 7: Game drive and boat cruise on Kazinga channel
Begin your day with a warm breakfast and embark on a morning game drive. This is the perfect time to witness numerous animals and observe the savannah slowly come alive with activity. Be prepared to spot safari favourites such as elephants, buffaloes, kobs, impalas, waterbucks, and Warthogs, while you search for lions and leopards in the savannah plains.
Next, take the opportunity to learn about the people and culture of Katwe. Discover the methods of salt mining from Lake Katwe and interact with the friendly locals.
Afterwards, return to the lodge for some leisure time and enjoy your lunch. Later, head to the jetty to commence a 3-hour boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel. This is one of the best wildlife viewing opportunities with banks lined with resident hippos, crocodiles and aquatic birds, visiting elephants, buffaloes and antelopes.
Upon concluding your boat cruise, return to the lodge for some relaxation and leisure. You will have your dinner and overnight stay as you continue your adventure.

Day 8: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via Ishasha
Begin your day with an early breakfast, and then drive to the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you will search for Ishasha’s tree-climbing lions.
On the way, take a significant journey to Ride 4 a Woman, a homegrown initiative dedicated to empowering local women facing the profound challenges of HIV, domestic violence, and poverty in Uganda. Day 9: Gorilla tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
You will wake up early on this day for breakfast and then head to the park headquarters for a pre-trek briefing. From there, you will join a group of 8 visitors and experienced guides to begin your gorilla trek. The trek will take you through steep climbs, slopes, and thick vegetation in the Bwindi Impenetrable forest.
When you finally reach the gorillas, you will an hour watching them interact with each other, eating, playing, and grooming. Once the magical hour is up, you will return to the starting point and receive your gorilla tracking certificate.
If time permits, you may have the opportunity to visit the Batwa People in the afternoon to learn about their way of life, including their ancient hunting techniques. The visit will include demonstrations, storytelling, and songs.
Finally, you will return to the lodge to relax and reflect on your incredible gorilla experience.

Day 10: Leave Bwindi, Drive to Kampala / Entebbe
Start your journey from Bwindi to Entebbe early. This will be the final stretch of your safari, as will get to enjoy some of the most breathtaking views that you witnessed during your trip. There will be plenty of opportunities to stop along the way for lunch, photography, and souvenir shopping.
When the drive is over, your driver will take you to Entebbe, where you can catch your onward flight. If your flight is scheduled for the same day, the driver will drop you off at Entebbe International Airport for your departing flight.
