Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival – Arusha
On arrival, our representative will meet you at Kilimanjaro International Airport and drive to Planet Lodge in Arusha. It is a stunning lodge at the base of Mount Meru that offers a great view of both Mount Meru and Kilimanjaro. After a while, our safari manager will come for a safari briefing and leave you to enjoy the rest of the day at the lodge. You’ll be relaxing while looking forward to your great Tanzania Safari & Zanzibar.

Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park. The driving is via Arusha city where you can still do any last-minute purchase. Leaving Arusha town, you will drive further along the Masai steppe and across a few Maasai villages and reach the Tarangire gate before noon. After park formalities, start game viewing right away. Tarangire is the fifth largest national park in Tanzania located at the base of the great East African Rift Valley and it runs along the lines of the Tarangire River. The park is made up of low-lying hills dominated by scattered acacia woodland and huge African baobab trees.
Tarangire River and the swamp on the southeast are the only permanent source of water in the entire park, thus it acts as a refugee area for wild animals, especially during the dry season. Tarangire is well known for its large population of elephants found nowhere else in Africa. Some rare species of great kudu, fringed-eared oryx and the ashley starling inhabit the park.

Day 3: Tarangire National Park – Serengeti National Park
On this day of your Tanzania Safari & Zanzibar full of adventure, we will take you to “Wild Africa” Serengeti National Park. The driving is along the high-lying farmland of Karatu and across local villages all the way to Ngorongoro gate. After registration and other park formalities, you will drive up to the crater viewpoint 2,300 meters for some great photos of the crater floor from above. Then start driving along the Crater rim and down to the world-rich Serengeti National Park with its endless rolling plains.
On the way, you will visit one of the Maasai Boma
Proceed to Serengeti National Park with en-route game viewing. This park is renowned for being the location of the Great Wildlife Migration, which involves over two million wildebeests, zebras and antelopes. It is also an extremely large and wild game park, and home to the Big Five of Africa.

Day 4: Full day Game Drive in Serengeti
After breakfast morning and afternoon game drive in Serengeti National Park (or full day game drive with picnic lunch) in search of migration. The Serengeti Migration also referred to as “The Great Migration” is arguably the greatest wildlife show on earth. It is the largest single movement of wildlife on earth in search of water, pasture and breeding grounds.

Day 5: Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast depart for Ngorongoro Crater with an en-route game drive and descent over 2000 ft (600m) into the Crater floor for a wonderful game viewing. The road down to the crater is amazing (packed lunch will be served on the crater floor). Ngorongoro Crater, the Eden of Africa is a Natural Wonder of the World formed some millions of years ago due to some tension forces left a large caldera. Today the Crater is home to a larger number of wildlife which includes herds of wildebeests, zebras, buffaloes, elands, warthogs, hippos, African elephants and the rare black rhinos.

Day 6 :Lake Manyara National Park– Arusha – Zanzibar
Continue enjoying this Tanzania Safari & Zanzibar (option at an extra cost of $59 per person park fees). After early breakfast, you may drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive before driving back to Arusha Airport to catch your afternoon flight to Zanzibar. The highlight of Lake Manyara is its tree-climbing lion and colorful flamingos.
If you’re visiting Lake Manyara National Park, your flight will be at 16:35hours arriving at Zanzibar Airport at 18:00 hours. If not you can have an early flight at 13:30 hours arriving at Zanzibar Airport at 14:15 hours.
On arrival at Zanzibar Airport, meet our representative and transfer to Villa Kiva Resort Zanzibar at Matemwe Village on the Northeast beaches of Zanzibar Island.

Day 7-9: Zanzibar Island
Days spent at leisure and relaxing on the white sand beaches of Zanzibar. If you wish, you can organize some water sports with the hotel like snorkelling, scuba diving, swimming with wild dolphins, Safari Blue, Nakupenda Sandbank etc.
Meal Plan: Breakfast and dinner.
Your overnight stay will be at Villa Kiva Resort Zanzibar on the Northeast coast of Zanzibar Island.

Day 10: Departure
Breakfast at the hotel
This is your departure day. Depending on your flight time (option), you can go on a guided stone town tour or walk around Stone Town on your own before your transfer to Zanzibar Airport to catch your flight back home.
