Tour Plan

Day 1: Arrival – Arusha

Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) and after immigration formalities Wild Pride Safaris representative will meet you and transfer you to Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you will hopefully have time to relax and prepare for your Unforgettable Tanzania Luxury Safari. Dinner and overnight at Arusha Serena Hotel.

Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

After breakfast you will be picked up from your hotel and drive to Tarangire National Park
Game drive in the park with picnic lunch.
Tarangire National Park (2,600km2) has unrivalled landscape of open plains, dotted with thousands of baobabs. It is located about 120kms south of Arusha. Tarangire is known for its lions and very big herds of buffalo. This is one of Africa’s little-known gems and should be on the itinerary of all lovers of wilderness and solitude. The animals include zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, elephant, Maasai giraffe and fringe-eared oryx (gemsbok). Predators include lion, cheetah and leopard. Birders will want to look out for the endemic ashy starling, rufous-tailed weaver and black-collared lovebird.

Day 3: Tarangire – Lake Manyara

After breakfast collect picnic lunch and drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a full day game drive.
This is one of the most diverse of Tanzania’s national parks, a tiny (325km2) combination of Rift valley lake, dense woodlands and steep mountainside. Manyara is a birding paradise (more than 380 species), especially for waterfowl and migrants and the forests are one of the best places around to see leopards. Lions hunt on the grassy shores of the
lake. Most visitors tailor a visit to Manyara to fit in with a trip to one of the Big Three parks (Serengeti, Tarangire and Ngorongoro).

Day 4 : Manyara – Serengeti National Park

After breakfast drive to Serengeti National Park
Lunch at the lodge
Afternoon game drive in Serengeti National Park for a chance to see the great herds of wildebeest, zebras and gazelles or a pride of lions lounging in the shade. The Serengeti, one of the largest parks in Africa at 15,000 sq km, is home to some three million large mammals and is made up of a diversity of landscapes with the southern region being dominated by the lush grassy plains that draw about two million wildebeest, half a million zebra and some quarter million antelope to make the hazardous journey in search of pasture when the autumn rains come.

Day 5 : Game Drive in Serengeti

Morning and afternoon game drive in the park (or full day with picnic lunch) in search of migration.
The Great Migration (also referred to as “Serengeti Migration”) is arguably the greatest wildlife show on earth. It is the largest single movement of wildlife on earth in search of water, pasture, and breeding grounds. Other than the great migrating herds we seek, we may also see cheetah, lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant, wildebeest, hartebeest, topi, eland, crocs, Thomson’s and Grant’s Gazelle, amongst many more. With over five hundred bird species identified, the park is a veritable ornithological paradise, ostrich abound, secretary bird, marabou stork, and the largest flighted bird on Earth, the kori bustard. We will seek out these creatures with the keen intuition and experience of our “Wild guide” and, with day drawing to a close, we will wend our way to our camp to unwind, dine and take our ease by the fire under the endless East African sky.

Day 6 : Serengeti – Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After an early breakfast collect packed lunch and depart for a morning game drive in the endless plains of Serengeti National Park
Mid-morning drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You may visit a Maasai boma or Olduvai Gorge en-route (additional costs applies)
Leisure, dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge.

Day 7 :Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

After breakfast embark on a morning crater tour with picnic lunch.
Descend 2000 feet (over 600 meters) to the floor of the crater (more precisely a caldera). This 304 square kilometre enclosed ecosphere was formed some two or three million years ago in the massive explosion of a volcano once higher than Kilimanjaro, and offers the best game viewing opportunities in all of Tanzania.
Explore the forest areas inhabited by monkeys and elephant, the lake area, where you may see the flamingos and the open savannah where the lions hunt for food. With some 25,000 large mammals within the caldera, you will have the opportunity to see, in addition to ‘the big five’ (elephant, lion, rhino, buffalo, and leopard), animals such as wildebeest, gazelle, reedbuck, bushbuck, hartebeest, hippo, antelope, both Grant’s and Thompson’s gazelle, impala, to name a few, as well as over 500 bird species.
After lunch drive back to Arusha and drop-off at your hotel or airport at around 17:00hrs.

From start to finish, everything was very good and I can only recommend it. Lilian gave us very good advice and put together a perfect tour. Everything was without complications - thank you Lilian! We were warmly welcomed at the airport and after a short picnic we began a 5-hour safari. Baraka and tour guide and Deo our driver are very well trained and showed us all the animals to the best of our ability. We were all amazed and happy. This was always our dream. Our tour guide Baraka spoke excellent German. The hotel was also excellent and our second day continued with a great safari. We can highly recommend the 3-day tour and will always remember it. We just returned from a amazing 2 week stay in Tanzania. I came across this tour company in my search for the best places. Lilian took care of absolutely everything. We gave her a list of things of things we wanted to do along with our budget and put together an amazing trip for my husband and I. Eli was our guide through the parks and he was very knowledgeable about the animals and made sure we could see as much as possible….super nice guy!! The trip organized by Wild pride safari was excellent! Lillian was always available and would answer any questions we had within minutes. Deo was a great driver and guide too! Price was reasonable compared to other safari companies. When booking, no need to do city tour of Arusha. 2 days in Serengeti is enough and Ngorongoro Crater is a must. Tarangire is optional. We did 5 days safari but 3 days is enough. Lillian also planned for us to go to Zanzibar which was fun. She booked our local flights and allowed us to choose which hotels and lodges to stay at.   Perfect experience with a perfect organization
Hello, we went on a 5-day safari, organized by Wild Pride. They offer standard programs which did not really fit to our needs (travelling arrangements etc). I just gave them what I wanted and needed and everything was organized in a perfect and easy way. Communication was very easy - I had previously spoken with a different provider and they were incapable to react to my wishes. Driver - we had Deo as driver - a very nice guy, communicative and with a lot of background information he could give to us and even more important an absolutely professional driver. Animals - well, we saw them all, Deo knew the right spots, the Big Five of course and many many other animals and all close by. So really a great experience. Hotels - we stayed at the Four Season, the Melia at the Ngorongoro and the Melia at Arusha - all were perfect choices. Not the cheapest ones, but that was our selection, Wild Pride took care of a smooth organization. I usually don't write such positive reviews, but here really everything fitted very well and was adjusted completely to our needs. Therefore: at least 5 stars for Wild Pride!

  Amazing honeymoon - better than we imagined
Wild Pride Safaris did an amazing job planning our honeymoon. The tour operator was very responsive (often answered within 24 hours or less) and custom built an itinerary that suited our needs. They greeted us with roses for the bride as well as customized “Just Married” stickers with our names on the Safari vehicle. The hotel lodge accomodations were world class. Our driver, Deocary, was with us every step of the way and was very knowledgeable about the animals and the landscape. Thanks to him - we saw the entire Big 5 in one morning. Our driver Abdul was very experienced. As a driver as well as a guide. The roads were very difficult because of alle the rain but we didn't feel afraid at any point. Hakuna matata! Trip of a lifetime! Lillian organized our 15-day luxury safari and beach trip to Tanzania. She took care of everything. She is always available for any questions. As I was traveling alone with my 2 children (11 and 12), I had some apprehensions. Lillian always reassured me and we had the best trip ever. We felt safe everywhere. We also had the best driver/guide on the safari part of the trip. I love taking “professional” pictures and our driver himself took pictures as well and therefore understood the locations, lights etc. All of our accommodations were truly amazing. We were on safari for 6 days with the best guide (Ally) and then spent 6 days in Zanzibar. On the safari we visited 3 different national parks (Ngorongoro, Manyara Lake and Serengeti) and saw countless animals (including the big 5). The country is already fantastic, but thanks to perfect organization in advance and on the trip and with a guide who is so great (we asked him a ton of questions and he had the answer to everything), it was just perfect. Every day was superbly planned, from the transfer to the excursions to the lunch boxes, the accommodations were all hand-picked and the service and food were top notch. choosing Wild Pride Safaris was the best decision! The organization beforehand by Lilian was excellent and smooth, all wishes and ideas were taken into account. Our guide Ally was simply fantastic, he has extensive knowledge of the animals and their way of life, he also introduced us to Tanzania itself, we learned so much about the country and its people and the animals in this wonderful environment. We were out with Ally for 6 days, we always felt in good hands, one must say well protected, because great care was taken to ensure that we did not do anything that endangered our health (eating, drinking, mosquito repellent). Ally was also a very pleasant and considerate guide, very adept at hearing what we were interested in and incredibly skilled at finding and respectfully observing the animals. We saw all of the Big Five, as well as many, many other animals (elephants of all ages, zebras, wildebeests, various antelopes and gazelles, hippos, buffalos, birds of prey and songbirds, iguanas, ostriches, monkeys, leopards, cheetahs...). It was particularly exciting to see the lions hunting and, one day later, two pairs of lions mating. And not to forget three lionesses with cubs not 10 m away!! All in all, a fantastic experience!
