Mount Kenya National Park surrounds Africa’s second-highest mountain, located 175 km from Nairobi. The park includes glaciers, forests, moorlands, and alpine zones.

Wildlife includes elephants, buffaloes, leopards, hyrax, colobus monkeys, and unique high-altitude species. Birdlife is rich and includes eagles and sunbirds.
Best Time to Visit:
For hiking or climbing, the best times are January–March and July–September, when the skies are clear and trails are dry.
Weather Conditions:
Temperatures vary with altitude, ranging from 5°C in alpine zones to 20°C in lower forests. Rainfall is high in April–June and October–November.
