Hell’s Gate is located near Lake Naivasha in the Rift Valley, about 90 km from Nairobi. It is known for its dramatic cliffs, gorges, and geothermal steam vents.
Animals Found:
Animals include zebras, giraffes, elands, buffaloes, baboons, and various bird species such as vultures and eagles. However, large predators are rare, allowing safe cycling and hiking.
Best Time to Visit:
The best time is June–March, when the weather is dry and ideal for outdoor activities like cycling, rock climbing, and hiking.
Weather Conditions:
Hell’s Gate is warm, with temperatures between 20–29°C. Rainfall occurs mainly in April–May and November, sometimes causing temporary gorge closures.
