Aberdare National Park

Aberdare National Park is located in central Kenya, about 150 km north of Nairobi. It features dense forests, bamboo zones, alpine moorlands, and high mountain ranges.

Animals Found:
The park is home to elephants, buffaloes, leopards, hyenas, black rhinos, giant forest hogs, bushbucks, and many primates such as colobus monkeys. The birdlife is also significant, including over 250 species.

Best Time to Visit:
The best time is January–March and June–October, when the weather is drier and forest roads are more accessible. It is ideal for forest and waterfall lovers.

Weather Conditions:
Aberdare is cool and misty, with temperatures between 10–20°C. It receives heavy rainfall, especially between April–June, making the park lush but challenging for driving.
