TOUR NUMBER: WPS73-Day Tarangire/Ngorongoro/Manyara Safari from Zanzibar
overview
Escape Zanzibar’s beaches for a thrilling 3-day Tarangire, Ngorongoro & Manyara safari into Tanzania’s wildlife heartlands. Spot the Big Five in iconic parks, ancient baobabs of Tarangire National Park, tree-climbing lions of Lake Manyara, and Ngorongoro Crater’s dense game. This tour starts and ends at Zanzibar Airport.
Day 1 Zanzibar – Arusha Airport – Tarangire National Park
You will use your own transport to arrive at Zanzibar Airport for your 7:45 AM flight to Arusha (arriving 9 AM). Your Wild Pride Safaris expert guide welcomes you for a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park for a mid-morning to late-afternoon game drive with a packed lunch.
The park is renowned for its vast open plains, dramatic landscapes, and iconic baobab trees that dot the scenery. Located about 120 km southwest of Arusha. Tarangire National Park is famous for its large elephant populations, impressive herds of buffalo, and resident prides of lions. Wildlife sightings may include zebras, wildebeest, elephants, Maasai giraffes and fringe-eared oryx (gemsbok).
Dinner and overnight are at Korongo Luxury Camp.

Spot the Big Five (elephant, lion, rhino, buffalo, leopard), plus wildebeest, hippo, gazelle, and 500+ bird species amid forests, lakes (flamingos), and savannahs. After lunch, head to Kankari Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3 Karatu – Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, collect a picnic lunch and drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive.
This is one of the most diverse of Tanzania’s national parks, a tiny (325 km²) combination of a Rift Valley lake, dense woodlands and steep mountainsides. Manyara is a birding paradise (with more than 380 species), especially for waterfowl and migrants, and the forests are among the best places to see leopards. Lions hunt on the grassy shores of the lake. Most visitors tailor a visit to Manyara to fit in with a trip to one of the Big Three parks: Serengeti, Tarangire and Ngorongoro.
